PIN diode

A PIN diode is a diode with a ample, easy doped ‘near’ built-in semiconductor area amid a p-type semiconductor and an n-type semiconductor area. The p-type and n-type regions are characteristically deeply doped since they are applied aimed at ohmic connections.

The ample built-in area is in juxtaposition to an ordinary PN diode. The ample built-in area produces the PIN diode an inferior antidote (one distinctive purpose of a diode), however it produces the PIN diode acceptable for attenuators, quick controls, photodetectors, and elevated voltage power branch of physics applications.
